Fire prevention of elevators in high-rise residential buildings

China's code for fire protection design of high rise civil buildings (GB50045-95) puts forward 11 requirements for the setting of elevators:

1. The elevator shaft should be set independently. It is strictly prohibited to lay combustible gases and class A, B and C liquids in the shaft, and cables and wires unrelated to the elevator should not be laid. In addition to opening elevator door openings and ventilation holes, no other openings shall be opened in the elevator shaft wall, and the elevator door shall not adopt fence doors

2. The fire elevator room should be equipped with a front room, the area of which is 4.5m ^ 2 for residential buildings and ≥ 6m ^ 2 for public buildings. When sharing the front room with smoke proof staircases, the area of which is ≥ 6m ^ 2 for residential buildings and ≥ 10m ^ 2 for public buildings

3. The front room of the fire elevator room is suitable to be set against the outer wall. An outlet for outdoor thrust ring data or a passage with a length of no more than 30 meters should be set on the first floor to the outside

4. The door of the front room of the fire elevator room that is calibrated by the reaction frame should adopt class B fire door or fire shutter with stagnation function

5. The total load capacity of the fire elevator shall not be less than 800kg

6. The fire elevator shaft, machine room and other adjacent elevator rooms should be separated by partition walls with a fire resistance limit of not less than 2H. When opening doors on the partition walls, class a fire doors should be set

7. The running speed of the fire elevator shall be calculated and determined according to the running time from the first floor to the top floor, which shall not exceed 60 seconds

8. The interior decoration of the fire elevator car should be made of non combustible materials

9. Waterproof measures shall be taken for power and control cables and wires of fire elevator

10. The fire elevator car shall be equipped with special buttons, and the first floor shall be equipped with operation buttons for firefighters

11. The front door of the fire elevator should be equipped with water retaining facilities, and the well bottom of the fire elevator should be equipped with drainage facilities. The capacity of the drainage well should not be less than 2m. There are three kinds of bending tests. 3. The drainage speed of the drainage pump should be ≥ 10L/s

2. The elevator machine room should have good ventilation to protect the motor equipment and cables from dust, harmful gases and moisture as much as possible, and protective facilities should be set outside the doors and windows to prevent rats and other electrical equipment from entering the machine room, causing electrical short circuit and fire
